Anna Maria Island has 7 miles of beautiful white sand beaches, and our beaches are very accessible to all! Many streets end at the beach with public access, and we have 3 public beaches as well.

COQUINA BEACH is a spectacular mile-long beach at the southern tip of the island, within the town of Bradenton Beach, about a mile south of the Cortez Rd. intersection. It has free parking, lifeguards on duty, restrooms, picnic tables, and showers for all beachgoers.

On the bay side of Coquina Beach are a boat ramp, fishing and picnic areas. Coquina Bay Walk Nature Trail is a great place to see Florida wildlife and foliage

Just north of Coquina Beach, along Gulf Drive between 5th Street South and 13th Street South is CORTEZ BEACH along Gulf Drive in Bradenton Beach (just north of Coquina Beach). This is a gorgeous stretch of beach along the Gulf of Mexico, and within an easy walk of the Pelican Post.

And at the end of Manatee Ave., S.R. 64, is MANATEE PUBLIC BEACH, within the Holmes Beach city limits. It, too, has lots free parking, concessions, lifeguards, restrooms, picnic tables and showers. There's also a restaurant with indoor dining (who would want to?) and lots of tables right out on the beachfront. The all-you-can-eat pancakes special is a favorite on Sunday mornings!
